Ingredients
12Oreos*
12ouncesyellow candy melts
12ouncesof dark chocolate chips
2tbsolive oildivided*
24candy eye balls
24heart sprinkles or small heart cake decorations
Instructions
Melt the candy melts. To melt them, put them in a microwave safe bowl and microwave them for 15 seconds. Take them out and stir and microwave again for 15 seconds. Stir. Repeat this process in 15 second increments until the candy melts are melted. Add about a tablespoon of oil to the candy melts once the candy is melted and stir it in to thing out the melted candy and make it shiny.
Once the candy has melted, dip an Oreo into the melted candy about 2/3s to 3/4s of the way in, leaving the top 1/3 to 1/4 bare. Shake the Oreo after you dip it in the melted candy to remove some of the excess. Place the dipped Oreo onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper to let the candy set. Let the Oreos sit on the wax paper until the candy has hardened. This can happen very quick or take more time depending on the temperature and humidity level. To speed things up, pop the tray in the fridge for about 20 minutes.
Once the yellow candy melts have hardened, melt the chocolate chips as described above. Divide the melted chocolate. Put some of it in a small bowl and the rest in a piping bag or a plastic bag.
When they are melted, dip the uncovered parts of the Oreos into the melted chocolate. Put each Oreo on the wax paper lined tray and press the candy eyeballs onto the melted chocolate. Now pipe stripes of chocolate across yellow part of the Oreos. Press a heart sprinkle or cake decoration onto the stripes on each bumblebee. Let set until the chocolate is hard. Serve and enjoy!
