Put 5 mini candy canes into 2 jars with lids and pour 1 1/4 cups of vanilla vodka over the candy canes. Then put the lid on and let it sit on your counter overnight or up to 2 days, shaking the jars periodically. The candy canes will dissolve in the vodka and the vodka will turn this really festive pinkish red color.

Use a fine mesh strainer over a large measuring cup and pour the jars out over the strainer to filter out any undissolved candy cane pieces. Discard those pieces and then poured the vodka back into the jars and seal the jars to gift them or use for cocktails or drink on its own.
