Chop apples and add them to the slow cooker along with oats, spices, milk, and cider. Stir to combine.
Cook on low for 4-6 hours, cooking occasionally.
Serve warm and garnish with walnuts and an extra drizzle of maple syrup if desired.
Notes
*Use gluten free oats to keep it gluten free.
** Feel free to substitute another apple. I like granny smiths in this as well,
*** If you want to make it vegan, use almond milk.
