What I’m Wednesday 63

Welcome to the place where I share what I’m up to each week and a bit of my real life outside of the blog.

Currently

Both my children are in the living room with my husband and I. My daughter is using a plastic teapot like a tuba and my son is banging on his sisters guitar and trying to take the teapot tuba from his sister.

Everyone is in their pajamas.

The dog is cowering.

This is happening after the kids just chased each other in circles around the half wall that separates our living area from our kitchen.

The words that come to mind: chaos, cacophony, noise.

Doing

We gave our son an at home hair cut.

0/10. Do not recommend.

Have you ever cut the hair of a feral raccoon?

That was pretty much how this went. He was not having it.

And the result? Well…. he’s still adorable…. but let’s just say my husband and I should never open a hair salon.

Ever.

Thank goodness he has curls and it should be pretty forgiving as it grows back in.

Also Doing

Trying to get outside despite it being cold and yucky.

My daughter and I took a walk just the two of us to feed the horses that live down the street and that may have well been the highlight of my week.

Watching

I feel like the well of shows have dried up for me. It’s taken me ten months but I feel like I have finally finished Netflix.

I finished Emily in Paris, which was a lot of fun. I don’t understand why people hated on it so much.

Now I’m working my way through the classic romcoms that I’ve seen a zillion times. Just finished The American President. Currently watching While You Were Sleeping on Disney Plus.

Oh and speaking of Disney Plus, we’ve been doing WandaVision every Friday night. Thoughts so far?

I need a new series to binge. Any suggestions?

Reading

I am currently taking a break from romance and reading The Star Crossed Sisters of Tuscany, a family drama with a really wrenching secret.

Also reading Anxious People, which is totally different than anything I normally read but I’m really enjoying it. It’s surprisingly funny despite it being about a group of people held hostage by a bank robber.

Eating

Been making this apple baked oatmeal for breakfast since its nice and warm.

That’s it from me this week! What are you up to? Leave me a comment below and let me know!
