Ingredients for Pasta with Chickpea Sauce (Pasta e Ceci)

Crushed tomatoes Chickpes Spices Parmesan Pasta water or white wine

Blend the ingredients for the sauce.

Add the crushed tomatoes, chickpeas, Parmesan, and spices to the blender. Blend.

Adjust the consistency of the sauce.

The sauce will be very thick once blended. Add a little pasta water or white wine to thin it out and blend again.

Heat the chickpea sauce.

Add the sauce to a large skillet on the stove and heat it over medium low to medium until it is warmed through.

Toss the chickpea sauce with pasta.

Top the pasta e ceci with roasted chickpeas, fresh basil, and more Parmesan cheese if desired.
