Stuffed Buffalo Chicken Burgers

For Cheese Stuffing

  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 4 minced or crushed garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup Franks hot sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg

For the Burgers

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup Franks hot sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves of garlic crushed or minced
  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/3 cup bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper to taste


For the filling:

  1. Mix all ingredients but the breadcrumbs and egg in a small bowl
  2. Whisk with a fork the egg in small dish
  3. Place breadcrumbs in a separate dish
  4. Form cream cheese mixture into roughly Tablespoon size balls
  5. Coat each ball in egg and dip in breadcrumbs until coated
  6. Repeat until used up

For the patties

  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Melt the butter for roughly 30 seconds in the microwave or stove top
  3. Throw all ingredients into a medium bowl
  4. Mix by hand or spoon until the ingredients are well combined
  5. Taking about a 1/4 of the mixture, start to form a patty with a small well in it
  6. Add the breaded cheese balls to the center of the patty
  7. Make sure to cover the entire ball with the chicken mixture
  8. Repeat to make 4 patties
  9. Heat skillet or griddle to medium high heat and spray or lubricate with oil
  10. Place each patty on the skillet and sear both sides for about 2-3 minutes a side
  11. Place seared patties into preheated oven and cook for 30 – 40 minutes (since this is raw chicken, it is best to use a meat thermometer in the core of the patty to ensure it was cooked through)
  12. Add a slice or two of cheese
  13. Serve with blue cheese, ranch, or any other condiment you would prefer.
