You guys. It’s here. The holidays are here. They aren’t just coming. Nope, Thanksgiving has come and gone and they are so here.

Fa la la la la la la la la.

I’m totally in the spirit. I know, I know, shocker right? I just can’t help myself. All my favorite things are jam packed into this time of year.  Like these no bake chocolate peanut butter bars.

I used to make these in chocolate peanut butter ball form. Back in the day before I had the Goose. You know back when I was more likely to make cookies than I was to make salted caramel chocolate chip butter bars. These days, making peanut butter balls seems so much harder than making peanut butter balls. The prep is almost exactly the same, except you don’t have to roll the peanut butter mixture into little balls. Nope you just press the peanut butter mixture into a baking dish lined with wax paper.

Then you pour on the chocolate ganache mix and boom. Into the fridge it goes to set.

Then just sprinkle with sprinkles if that’s your jam, and obviously you know its mine and cut into bars.

Add the hot cream to the chocolate chips and stir

So much easier. Plus, there’s something about a brownie sized peanut butter bar that makes me able to wait until dessert to eat it. When I make peanut butter balls, I just have NO self control. NONE. In years past, I’d wake up, go to the kitchen and pop a peanut butter ball or five into my mouth on the way to make my coffee.

Then I’d repeat that all day long. Minus the coffee part.

With the bars, I’m less likely to snack on them all day but really enjoy one as an indulgence. And let me tell you this is an indulgence I feel good about.

These no bake chocolate peanut butter bars are doing something good besides being delicious and providing amazing holiday food. They are made with butter that comes from Real California Milk. Why does that matter? Because when you spot the Real California Milk seal and snap a photo of the seal and upload it to Facebook or Instagram using #SealsforGood in the tags between now and December 31, Real California Milk will donate $5 to the Great American Milk Drive. The Great American Milk Drive is currently using the donations collected to help raise up to $10k to aid relief efforts for those in Florida and Texas who were affected by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey. They have also expanded their relief efforts to raise $20k for the residents of California who were affected by the devastation of the recent wildfires.
